Congratulations to Angi Wallace ASINWP LSWPP from, Tyne & Wear, England.

Angi tells us ' The image was taken at home on my dining table, with my camera on a tripod above ( with me stood on the table and my head almost touching the ceiling !) It was taken specifically for this competition, I kind of used it as a challenge to myself to try something a little out of my comfort zone as I have done very little food photography. I bought a very cheap plain cheesecake and lots of berries then decorated it - I had wanted to use cherries and cherry blossoms but it was impossible to find any locally, so settled with mixed berries instead. I made a little berry sauce and set about arranging everything nicely using analogous colours - purple , pink, red - this helped the cheesecake stand out more. Keeping the plateware etc in muted colours that blended in and did not stand out helped pull everything together. I used three round serving vessels to create a pleasing triangle and a gorgeous hand dyed cheesecloth in a swirl to lead the eyes around the image. No I didnt get to eat the cheesecake as I try to minimise gluten and dairy in my diet, so my partner was very happy once I finished playing with the food. The berries were nice though!

Shot on Sony A7iii with Sony 28 - 70 kit lens, F14, ISO 320, shutter 200 1 studio light with a large softbox and a reflector.''
