Macro Shooting
The other possibility for two GrafiLites is to use them for macro lighting. Again if you have an occasional need to photograph jewellery for, say, insurance purposes, it is easier (and less hassle from the insurance point of view) to photograph at the site of the owner. Rather than lugging a lighting rig, a couple of GrafiLites is a very portable solution.
The pair of GrafiLites made an excellent and transportable option for macro work, jewellery and the like.
The curly helix of the Pro- Lite Daylite from www.lightbulbs-direct.com a snip at £10.60. It is available in both bayonet and Edison screw fittings.
Overall
Two GrafiLites, like guitars, seem to be better than one. The portability of the lights makes them easy to carry to a meeting or job with the reassuring knowledge that there are not going to be arguments about the light quality. They are not contract-proof viewing-standard but for that class of work you need a booth anyway - at least an order of magnitude more expensive. Having a portable lighting system for copying and macro work might just be a bit of a bonus. GrafiLite Mode £80 visit www.colour-confidence.com
