Lens Performance

All three lenses in our storm trio arrive with impeccable performance credentials (and so they should at the price!) reflecting their extensive use of the latest glass and coating technologies. The 70-200 is also stabilised which is useful when struggling in a low-lighting situation in the absence of flash.

The 24-70mm zoom is highly versatile when used out on jobs, here at 27mm and 70mm. If you can only manage one of the storm trio this lens would be the choice for most.

Most zoom lenses change their distortions as they move through the focal length range and the data for all three lenses have been plotted together. The values are quite low for most practical purposes and because they are evenly disposed about the centre axis, they could easily be removed in Photoshop if that were essential.
